How do I make a reservation?

· Read the School Bulletin carefully and choose
the activities you wish to reserve.
· Decide on the dates and times that suit you.
· Telephone us at (514) 285-2000, option 3.

When should I reserve?

As of May this year we are accepting reservations for the next school year.
As space is limited, contact us as soon as you can, to have a better chance
of reserving the activity you want at a time convenient to you.

Email of confirmation and billing

A few weeks prior to the date of your activity you will receive an email of
confirmation and an invoice from the Education and Public Programmes
Department. Please read these carefully. You must pay in full on the day
the activity takes place.

Is it possible to change a reservation?

Up to twelve days (12) before the event, if our timetable permits, we may
accept changes. No change of booking will be accepted after that time.

What is the policy in the case of partial or total cancellation?

Partial or total cancellations are accepted without billing if they are made
more than twelve days (12) before the date of the activity. However, if
you cancel less than twelve days (12) before the event, we will bill you,
as expenses for the activity will have been committed.

How can I prepare my students?

· En consultant les Teachers Pages versés au site Web du Musée,
sous la rubrique "Educational and Cultural Activities".
· By photocopying and distributing to your students the Museum Etiquette
document you will receive along with your letter of confirmation,
which explains the rules of behaviour in a museum.

How can I get the activity started more efficiently?

By dividing each class into two teams of a maximum
of fifteen students each.

What part do monitors play?

Monitors must stay with the group to maintain discipline and help individuals.
Leave the educator or Museum guide to direct the visit.
Monitors are completely responsible for supervision at mealtimes.

How long do the activities last?

Workshops................... 2 hours
Explorations ............. 1 ½ hours
Discovery Tours ........ 1 ¼ hours

In the context of the A Day at the Museum programme, depending on the activities
chosen, there may be a free period between the two activities. Arrangements
must be made to supervise the students during this period. You could take advantage
of the time to visit the Museum’s collections with them.

Prohibited objects

Inform all participants in your group that they are not allowed to bring
into the Museum or leave in the cloakroom awkward or costly items
not needed during the visit.

How do we get to the Museum?

there is a reserved stopping zone on Crescent Street (corner of Sherbrooke).
