FOR TEACHERS AND PROFESSORS

A variety of resources are available to enrich your classes
and pedagogical projects.

· Workshops led by specialists that help you develop new abilities.
· Lectures and symposia, afternoons and evenings.
· Films on art and films by artists.
· Guided Tours.

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts' encyclopedic collection offers
teachers a multitude of themes and subjects to create meaningful
educational projects.

TEACHERS' PAGES

These useful documents are available on the Museum's
Web site. They give you a wealth of information on
how to prepare your students for a visit to the major
exhibitions. Check out the "Teachers' Page on Preparing
your Students for a Visit to the Museum" for a general
introduction on visiting a museum. Look for upcoming
pages based on the Museum's collection.

MADE-TO MEASURE TEACHER WORKSHOPS

Get a bunch of your colleagues together and organize
a special training session here at the Museum or at your
school or school board. Perhaps you have a special school
project that includes an art or art history component.
If so, give us a call and we can organize a training
session that might include a hands-on workshop and
a tour of our collections or one of our exhibitions.

THE MUSEUM GOES TO SCHOOL

Would you like a Museum resource person to give you
a presentation on the pedagogical role of museums?
Would you like the whole staff of your school to know
more about an exhibition? The Education and Public
Programmes Department can go and meet teachers
after school or during a pedagogical day to talk about
whatever museum topic you think might be of interest.
We provide the equipment — laptop and projector —
you provide the interested audience and an appropriate
space. We also do symposiums and conferences,
so give us a call.
