Christmas Tree Display

The Museum’s traditional Christmas tree display will be on view from November 23, 2007, to January 6, 2008. Over thirty-five trees decorated by volunteers from a variety of associations and ethnic groups will be presented in the Decorative Arts Gallery of the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion.

 

Family Sunday: Spotlight on Ritual Objects

On December 9, from 1 to 4 p.m., there are family activities that focus on world cultures:

  • Art workshop : creation of a box of secrets in clay – 1, 2 and 3 p.m. (bilingual)

  • Tour-in-a-Wink: A Taste of Asia and Pre-Columbian Civilizations – in French at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., in English at 1 and 2 p.m.

  • Family Takeaway: Feathers, Fur and Scales – a gallery game featuring animals represented in ritual objects (available in English and French)

The programme and passes are available in the Lobby of the Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion starting at 12.30 p.m.

 

In the StudiO: The Expo-workshop A Whole World of Human Beings

Saturdays and Sundays, from 1 to 4 p.m., the expo-workshop is devoted to the artistic representation of the human body through the observation of works in the collection. At the entrance to the StudiO, you can also pick up a Family Takeaway, a gallery game that is fun for all ages.

 

Exhibitions: free admission for all visitors at all times
