2011 MONTREAL ALL-NIGHTER
at The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts


As part of the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival, the Montreal Museum of
Fine Arts will take part in the Montreal All-Nighter on February 26, 2011.

 

Exhibitions:

THE WARRIOR EMPEROR AND CHINA'S TERRACOTTA ARMY

— 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. —  this exhibition will be half price ($10 instead of $20)

Take advantage of this year's Montreal High Lights Festival to discover
the exhibition The Warrior Emperor and China's Terracotta Army at half
the regular adult admission fee. It's a major exhibition of archaeological
works that will take visitors on a faraway journey covering 1,000 years
of Chinese history. A unique selection of some 240 artefacts, including
the famouslife-size terracotta soldiers of the first Qin Emperor's army.

Chinese cooking workshop given by the restaurant Le Piment Rouge

Festival-goers can also attend a demonstration of fine
Chinese cuisine given by the chef of Le Piment Rouge.

Calligraphy workshop and creation of a collective work

You are invited to discover the art of Chinese calligraphy.
Learn how to hold the brush and draw Chinese characters
and then take part in a collective work.


Drawing from a live model

Tea tasting by Camellia Sinensis

Tsingtao beer tasting
