2011 Museum Ball

The 2011 Museum Ball was held on November 5 with a resounding success! To highlight the opening of the new Claire and Marc Bourgie pavilion of Quebec and Canadian art, the Volunteer Association has organized the c ocktail in the new Bourgie Concert Hall. Mr. Norman Hébert Jr., chairman of Groupe Park Avenue, and Mr. R. Jeffrey Orr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Power Financial Corporation, acted as honorary co-presidents of this prestigious event, chaired by Suzanne Legge Orr. For the occasion, members of the Bourgie family - Claire, Marc, Pierre and Claude - were guests of honor of the Ball.



The exhilarating atmosphere was created thanks to the genius of designer Scott Yetman who displayed for this magical evening Quebec and Canadian art works of the Museum’s permanent collection.




The guests, dressed in beautiful gowns, dazzling jewelry and tuxedos, have enjoyed the sumptuous dinner concocted under the direction of Armando Arruda of The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth as well as the wines selected and offered by the SAQ.

The Volunteer Association would like to acknowledge the generosity of individuals and companies as well as members of the steering committee who helped raise a profit of over $ 1,110,000.
