THE MMFA AND ITS FOUR PAVILIONS
With the addition of the new Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion of Quebec and Canadian Art and the Bourgie Concert Hall, the unveiling of a pavilion dedicated to the decorative arts and design and the reinstallation of all its collections of international art, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is Quebec's premier museum in regards to the size of its collection. Visitors can explore one of the largest encyclopedic collections in North America free of charge at all times. The four major spheres of the collection are distributed as follows: Quebec and Canadian art in the Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion; International art, from the Old Masters to contemporary art, and graphic arts and photography in the Jean-Noël Desmarais Pavilion; the decorative arts and design in the Liliane and David M. Stewart Pavilion; and archaeology and world cultures in the Michal and Renata Hornstein Pavilion.
