French Music

In conjunction with the exhibition A History of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Clark, presented at the MMFA, the Arte Musica Foundation is pleased to highlight French music and some of the aspects that characterize it, throughout the season. From the world of twelfth-century troubadours to early-twentieth-century chamber music, from Charpentier's sacred vocal music to hot jazz, not to mention the instrumental works of Rameau and Couperin, these concerts invite audiences to appreciate the musical eclecticism that has always been present in France.
