Chronicles from the Kingdoms of the Sun and the Moon
A school project in partnership with «Une école montréalaise pour tous»

This cultural outreach project gives students the opportunity to explore the 4,000-year history of rich and complex cultures. In an initial visit to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, students will become familiar with the Museum's Pre-Colombian and Inuit art collection. On a second visit, they discover the first major exhibition of its kind ever organized in North America: Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and the Moon. The students, accompanied by the artist Danièle DeBlois, will then design and create three mixed media posters illustrating the highlights of their visit. These works will then be photographed and published on the Montreal Museum of Fine arts website. Throughout the project, the students, accompanied by their teacher, will keep a journal recording their discoveries.
