2012 at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
Montreal, November 29, 2011 – In 2012, programming at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts(MMFA) will be extraordinarily rich in terms of both exhibitions and collections. The Museum will feature the only Canadian presentations of three major exhibitions and will continue to implement activities revolving around the newly reinstalled collections in its expanded gallery spaces. The 4,000 restored, researched and reinstalled works of this encyclopedic collection, unique in Canada, are being presented in new layouts, in clear and consistent circuits in each of the four pavilions.

Dorothea Rockburne: First Canadian Retrospective
Montreal, November 2, 2011 – From November 6, 2011 to April 8, 2012, the MMFA is presenting Dorothea Rockburne. In My Mind's Eye Comprising over fifty works, it is the first Canadian retrospective of this internationally famous artist, one of the leading figures of Post-minimalism.

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts: Quebec's premier museum
Montreal, September 26, 2011 – With the opening of the new Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion of Quebec and Canadian Art, the inauguration of a new concert hall, the unveiling of a pavilion devoted exclusively to the decorative arts and design and the reinstallation of all the collections of international art, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts becomes Quebec's premier museum, both for the scope of its collections and its size. Quebecers will have free access at all times to an encyclopedic collection unique in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

A new exhibition from a major Montreal collection in the museum's graphic arts centre
Montreal, April 4, 2011 – From April 5 to August 21, 2011, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will present Five Centuries of European Prints from Print Collection of Drs. Jonathan Meakins and Jacqueline McClaran: The Physicians'Eye. A selection of some 80 works from this outstanding Montreal masterprints collection will be on view in the Museum's Graphic Arts Centre of the Jean‐Noël Desmarais Pavilion. A new exhibition in the contemporary arts square
Montreal, March 2, 2011 – In connection with the exhibition The Warrior Emperor and China's Terracotta Army, the Museum presents, from March 3 to June 19, 2011, a group of contemporary Chinese artworks from Montreal collections, including its own, which includes a recent gift for the Museum's 150th anniversary from J.-Serge Sasseville, to whom the Museum extends its thanks. Red Flag, Contemporary Chinese Art in Montreal Collection is the first exhibition by a Quebec museum devoted to the recent explosion of Chinese art, which constitutes one of the most remarkable phenomenons on the global art scene in the past ten years. The admission to the exhibition is free at all times.
