Yves Saint Laurent - May 29 to September 28, 2008

Exposition

Visitors’ book

Following the death of Yves Saint Laurent, the Museum invites all visitors to convey a final message to this great man and couturier. Please feel free to share your thoughts and feelings in the “Tribute to Yves Saint Laurent” visitors’ book.

Once the exhibition closes, these messages will be given to Pierre Bergé, Yves Saint Laurent’s loyal friend and confidant.

Monsieur Saint Laurent was an inspiration to everyone around him. The fashion world has lost a great designer and creativity that allowed the mind to flow in constant harmony. Thank you, kind sir, for allowing the world to be dressed in style! As a future stylist, I will carry the images of your work and inspiration with me. God bless. Rest in peace, Monsieur Saint Laurent.

Someone like this will never be forgotten. He has inspired me so much.

Warm thanks to Yves Saint Laurent for the fine art and beauty you created. Yves, the great artist who saw the connection between colour, material and lines, together with great themes and creations, year after year. Yves is the Heart of Paris, where great couture is created, with a touch from other places you loved, e.g. Marrakech. You are like Picasso, Matisse… You created tributes to the fine arts with a touch of unique style. I have loved Yves’s style since my childhood in the 70s. Thanks to Pierre Bergé for being everything to Yves and making his art accessible to the world. Thanks, Yves, for the style and art – one of the greatest artists in our lifetime. Love, Marianne (Perfumes: Rive Gauche and Paris have always been my favourites, Opium for my mother)
