LET'S TALK ABOUT MUSIC
Taught by enthusiastic professionals and experienced communicators,
this course series is aimed at music lovers of all ages. It will provide
them with the keys to a better understanding of music and enrich their
appreciation of a musical genre, era or composer. Although no knowledge
of music is required, a few technical points may occasionally be mentioned.

by Laurent Cugny, professor of musicology at Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), music director of Orchestre National de Jazz from 1994 to 1997 and author of numerous publications about jazz
Laurent Cugny, a leading Miles Davis specialist, provides a comprehensive overview of Davis's work in four sessions. Davis’s entire career will be examined by focussing on his music and its evolution.

Kind of Blue and working with Gil Evans
- Thursday, June 17
3rd Class, in French
1960-1968: La vie sans John Coltrane: after Coltrane's departure,
a magnificent interlude with the second quintet
- Friday, June 18
4th Class, in French
1968-1991: Électrique!: the first electric period, retirement and
second electric period

- People 30 and under: $37.50
Any remaining individual tickets will go on sale the day of the event:
