Creating a Professional Card Holder in Leather

Welcome to the Museum’s School of Art for 6-week classes!

Fridays, April 24 to May 29
9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

In this series, participants will create an origami-style card holder in vegetable-tanned leather. Using the materials supplied and choosing one of the two prototypes, participants will learn the basics of making patterns, leather cutting and decoration using dyes, textures and their choice of paint. To finish the assembly, a button will be affixed to the card holder.

Instructor: Niki Jessup, master leather artist and art educator

Pencils ; Notebook ; Other materials will be furnished by the artist at a small fee.

In order for the classes in the Museum’s Art School to be stimulating for both the participants and the instructor, we require a minimum of 5 students for a class to run. If there are not enough registrations, we will contact you as soon as possible to suggest either an alternative class or give you a total refund.

General Public: $300
VIP’s and those under 30 years old: $270

Refund policy: A full refund, minus a $50 administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received up to 10 days prior to the start of the activity. No refunds are issued for cancellations received less than 10 days prior to the activity, unless the cancellation is made for reasons of force majeure. In such case, please contact us to obtain a full refund.
