Saturdays, from February 10 to March 24, 2018. 10.30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Workshops are open to amateur musicians who have participated in improvisaiton workshops with Tim Brady in the past
Please note that we have now reached the maximum number of piano and keyboard participants. However, there are still openings for other instruments.
The Arte Musica Foundation is pleased to offer a series of onsite creative workshops for amateur musicians interested in musical improvisation, both free and guided. Participants will learn the basic principles of improvisation and come to understand how “real time” musical composition works, while developing their listening and interactive abilities. They will experience duo and extended group improvisation while following the rules that professional musicians/improvisers use. An authentic music creation laboratory, this activity is invested in participants’ open-mindedness and diversity of experience, with the aim of exploring music as a means of self-expression.

Workshops are directed by Tim Brady, electric guitar, and Shawn Mativetsky, tabla and percussion.
