Welcome to the Museum’s School of Art!

Fridays, January 26, February 2, 9, 23 and March 2

9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Beginning with exercises inspired by the famous book by Betty Edwards, Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain, students will develop the basic skills of visual awareness. Drawing fundamentals such as line and shape, light and shadow, and composition will be explored in pencil and charcoal or conté. Perfect for beginners and for those who want to refresh their skills. Drawing is good for your brain!

Instructor: Mary Hayes, Artist and Art Educator

Mary Hayes has been teaching painting and drawing techniques for over fifteen years. In addition to several solo exhibitions, she has participated in group exhibitions in Quebec, Canada and the United States. Her work can be found in several public and private collections.

Refund policy
Cancellations made at least seven business days ahead of the first class will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable reasons, in which case the fees will be refunded in full.
