In this all-level class, you will seek inspiration from the landscape as you learn all about colour harmonies in a rich jewel-like palette reminiscent of the Fauve and Expressionist painters.
Instructor: Lucie Michel, Artist and Art Educator
Lucie Michel has been a painter… forever! She draws inspiration from the sea, the landscape and everything in nature. She loves teaching, where she can spread the word that art is the ideal medium for personal expression.
-Various paintbrushes (3 flat, 3 round)
-Acrylic paint (Golden mark or equivalent)- basic colours: Primary yellow, Cyan blue, Magenta, Titanium white, black (Optional colours: Naples yellow, sienna, Quinachridone magenta, Vermillion, light napthol, Pthalo blue, Pthalo green, Cobalt blue)
-Small bottle of retarder
-Canvases: 2 large ones 12X24, 14X18, 16X16, 16X20 or 20X20 OR 3 small: 12X12 or 10 X10
-1 disposable pad for watercolours or roll of wax paper or plexi panel
-1 water container that is stable and will not tip when brushes are inserted Scott towels —Pencils (optional): charcoal, conté, ink, watercolour pencils, graphite, for example
-Photos of landscapes : black and white or colour

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your class and use the Group Entrance at 2200 Crescent Street.
Cancellations made at least seven business days ahead of the first class will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable reasons, in which case the fees will be refunded in full.
