Painting Quai de l’École, Paris, Evening, by Maximilien Luce, 1889.

In dialogue with the exhibition Paris in the Days of Post-Impressionism: Signac and the Indépendants on display at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, this series offers an immersion into the cultural ferment of the French capital at the beginning of the 20th century, illustrating the impact on music of the period’s great artistic upheavals.
