Welcome to The Museum’s School of Art – Youth Program!
In light of the ongoing pandemic, the Museum's Education and Wellness Division is pleased to offer, for the first time, online art workshops for young people! Our art workshops will be presented on the Zoom platform (link to come). Each session will be recorded and all of the recordings will be accessible to registrants for the entire following week.
Please note that the School of Art – Youth Program workshops are only offered in French. However, all our instructors are bilingual and able to accommodate English-speaking participants. Specialized materials needed for each workshop are provided and will be mailed to you during the week of June 21. Basic materials you should have at home for the courses are listed in the downloadable PDF.
Créations 2D en collage et peinture
Monday to Friday from July 19 to 23, 10:00 to 11:30 am
Collage in all its forms! In this practice, you’re invited to play with the juxtaposition of images, which can sometimes result in surprises, often rich in meaning. By giving free rein to your imagination, this process offers you an opportunity to manipulate existing images to create personal visuals. It also allows you to develop your understanding of pictorial composition, colour design and visual language
