Welcome to the Museum’s School of Art!
To safely resume its activities during the pandemic, the Education and Wellness Department has decided to offer an abridged online program of our most popular workshops through the Zoom platform (link coming soon). Each class will be recorded and available throughout the entire week after the class if you happen to miss it.
Experience an adventure in learning fascinating acrylic techniques. Each week, explore a new approach to making images, which you will then combine into a unique personal finished artwork. Each technique is carefully explained and demonstrated. Most materials are provided, and many are just normal household items. We will fuse many ideas and materials together. Create and connect in a stimulating and supportive online environment.
Instructor: Melanie Mattews, artist and art educator
To facilitate participation, our instructors have ordered materials kits through our partner DeSerres, which you can purchase on-line and have delivered to your door or arrange to pick up at a DeSerres location. Prices vary according to the selection of materials.
There is a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 8 participants for each series. If the minimum is not reached, the series will be cancelled.
Information: education@mbamtl.org
Cancellation policy: Cancellations made seven (7) business days or more before the first class of your registered workshop will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven(7) business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable circumstances, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
