Welcome to the Museum’s School of Art!
To safely resume its activities during the pandemic, the Education and Wellness Department has decided to offer an abridged online program of our most popular workshops through the Zoom platform (link coming soon). Each class will be recorded and available throughout the entire week after the class if you happen to miss it.
Saturdays and Sundays, August 14, 15 and August 21, 22, 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
During these two weekends of intensive workshop, we will take a look at various ways of using willow charcoal and powdered pigment as drawing mediums. The focus is on how to capture light by using the white of the paper as well as through subtraction and erasing. Through demonstrations, participants will learn how to properly blend and create volumes and textures to create atmospheric perspectives and compositions.
