Choral workshop for parents and children

Family Concerts

Ages 7 & up

A multigenerational workshop to acquire the basics of singing together while learning pieces in unison and for several voices. On the programme: local songs, pieces from various continents, and classical repertoire. A unique opportunity to make music as a family. Grandparents are welcome too!

INFORMATION

Workshop Dates: Six Saturdays, May 6 to June 10, 2023,
from 
10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Concert date: Saturday, June 17, 11:00 am
Duration: Each workshop lasts 75 minutes and the concert lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Audience: Workshops are offered to children, parents and any other family member who wishes to participate (aged 7 and up)
Mode:  In person
Location: The workshops take place in the Bourgie Hall rehearsal room and the performance will take place in a space in the Museum.
Language: French and English
Number of participants: The maximum number is 20. 
Prerequisite for registration: Enjoying singing (Knowing how to read music is not required). Participants agree to take part in all workshops as well as the public performance (it will not be possible to be replaced by another family member).
Note: The workshops are given by professional musicians. Sheet music is provided to participants but each participant must bring his or her own binder and pencil.
