Franz Joseph Haydn at the end of his life and Franz Schubert left magnificent vocal quartets with piano accompaniment for the use of talented amateurs who wish to occupy their musical evenings. They drew from the most important poets of the time texts which, not without a subtle moralizing dimension, evoke the various stages of life, love, solitude, the charms and rigors of nature or the power and goodness of the Creator. At the Bourgie Hall pianoforte, built after Viennese instruments from the 1830s, Luc Beauséjour completes the program with a Haydn Sonata and a Mozart Fantasy.
