The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation invites you to experience on June 16, 2022 a memorable evening surrounded by Montreal artist Stanley Février’s work Museum of the Art of Today / Department of the Invisible (or MAADI, the acronym based on its French title).
Entitled Février… in June, this exclusive Young Philanthropists’ Circle (YPC) event will be a unique opportunity to meet the artist. What’s more, through the works on view you will discover the critical examination Février engages with the art world and its institutions by probing the social and power dynamics contributing to the underrepresentation of artists from different cultural backgrounds. Laura Delfino, guest curator, and Iris Amizlev, Curator – Community Engagement and Projects at the MMFA, will share their insights on this one-of-a-kind performative installation. A fascinating event you won’t want to miss!
