In the spirit of a safe resumption of activities in the context of the pandemic, the Education and Wellness Division has decided to offer an abbreviated online program of our most popular workshops through the Zoom platform (link coming soon).
Wednesdays, November 18 to December 16, from 5.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
In this exciting workshop, you will experiment with image transfer using acrylics, and learn a new approach and method each week. Create beautiful finished artwork using your personal imagery, be they photographs or drawings. Expand your visual vocabulary through new techniques and different materials. Every step is carefully explained and demonstrated.
Instructor: Melanie Matthews, artist and art educator
The instructor, Melanie, will generously supply a paint kit and medium. She will also provide images and substrate for the first week. Subsequently, participants will need to gather their own images or photocopies, such as from used books. The only other materials needed at home are brushes, palette and spatula. This material will be available at the MMFA. You will be contacted to schedule a date and time if the minimum capacity of 5 participants is reached.
For administrative purposes, we ask that you inform the instructor of a cancellation at least seven (7) days before the first class of the workshop. Cancellation policy: Cancellations made seven (7) business days or more before the first class of your registered workshop will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven (7) business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable circumstances, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
