(Short synopsis)
Every Angel is Terrifying—Rilke is a lyrical and poetic cinematic expression that narrates a day in the life of Hossein, a German literature professor and an expert on Rilke’s poetry, as well as a mathematician, in Tehran. The highlight of our protagonist’s day is recording a few translated poems by Rilke in a prestigious sound studio. But the mood of the day changes drastically when he receives a series of phone calls that bear life-changing news.
On the online ticket office, you will have the option of reserving more than one seat (for yourself and other members of your family). Seats located on the two sides of the hall are reserved exclusively for members of a same family cell, while seats in the middle section, spaced with three empty seats between them, are reserved for solo audience members.
This lecture will be given in person only, at the Maxwell Cummings Auditorium, 1379-A Sherbrooke Street West. Reservations must be made online in advance. Individuals who do not have a reservation will not be admitted the evening of the event.
