To safely resume its activities during the pandemic, the Education and Wellness Department has decided to offer an abridged online program of our most popular workshops through the Zoom platform (link coming soon). Each class will be recorded and available throughout the entire week after the class if you happen to miss it.

Every Tuesday morning from January 26 to February 23 – 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

This course offers participants a unique experience through the practice of a technique that was historically passed down in complete secrecy from master to disciple. These workshops will let participants further their knowledge of calligraphy and practise various artisan techniques to produce traditional and contemporary pieces.

Mohammed Makhfi, artist and art educator

To facilitate participation, our instructors have ordered materials kits through our partner DeSerres, which you can purchase on-line and have delivered to your door or arrange to pick up at a DeSerres location. Prices vary according to the selection of materials.

There is a minimum of 5 participants for each series. If this number is not reached, the series will be cancelled.

For administrative purposes, we ask that you inform the instructor of a cancellation at least seven (7) days before the first class of the workshop. Cancellation policy: Cancellations made seven (7) business days or more before the first class of your registered workshop will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven (7) business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable circumstances, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
