About Ribbon Skirt
Montreal-based Ribbon Skirt is an alternative indie rock band led by Anishinaabe musician Tashiina Buswa and guitarist Billy Riley. Through their music, the duo explore Buswa’s connection to her Indigenous heritage. Their songs are at once introspective, musically complex and emotionally stirring. Ribbon Skirt’s first album, Bite Down, was nominated for the Polaris Music Prize in 2025.
