Writer, journalist and literary editor Ralph Elawani has selected four pieces of cinematographic history featuring famous figures immortalized by Armenian-Canadian photographer Yousuf Karsh. Elawani will explain the thinking behind his choice of films before each screening. The first two works take their cues from the arts. The third brings audiences a different perspective on the exhibition portraits and their subjects, while the fourth recounts the photographer’s personal journey and the celebrities he met along the way.
Ralph Elawani lives and works in Montreal.
