Sailboats, a unique and poetic collective work on Du Musée Avenue

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is proud to have presented Sailboats, an artistic installation by the Collectif Escargo erected on Du Musée Avenue in the summer of 2020. Through its chromatic touches juxtaposed on the ground, the work highlighted the unique talent of post-impressionist painters.

This work also paid tribute to the more than 7,000 donors who generously contributed to the MMFA Foundation's 2019-2020 annual campaign, as well as to the partners, volunteers and employees of the Museum and its Foundation. Their support is crucial and we extend our most sincere thanks to them.

Adrift

Designed by Collectif Incognito, the ephemeral installation Adrift echoes the themes in the exhibitions Ecologies: A Song for Our Planet and Riopelle: The Call of Northern Landscapes and Indigenous Cultures. The fruit of a creative exercise, the Museum’s summer art installations provide a fitting opportunity for the **MMFA Foundation to recognize the remarkable generosity of its donors who gave to the Museum’s 2020-2021 Annual Fundraising Campaign. **

To ensure sound governance and the best possible performance, the MMFA Foundation adheres to the values of commitment, the pursuit of excellence, solidarity, respect and integrity.

Charity Intelligence Canada

Once again this year, the MMFA and its Foundation have the highest rating among all Canadian cultural NPOs analyzed by Charity Intelligence Canada (CIC). In 2018, the MBAM already had the highest rating among its peers in the cultural field with a B+ result, and the Museum and its Foundation are proud to be once again a leader in performance and to have improved in 2019 with an A- rating.
