We at the Museum firmly believe that people can learn and grow through art and culture at any age. Are you 65 or over? Every Thursday, in addition to free access to its encyclopedic collections, the Museum of Fine Arts offers a variety of free activities designed especially for you. From guided tours of a featured collection to multidisciplinary creative workshops, there’s something for everyone!
Every Thursday, come and get a taste of the benefits of art making by taking part in a free art workshop! Museum facilitators will be on hand, and all necessary materials are provided.
First arrived, first served. Pick up your pass at the Ticket Counter as of 10 a.m. on the day of the activity.
Once a month, Art in Motion invites people who are 65 and over to join a relaxing moment of new discoveries.
This workshop is a chance to discover and explore close connections between works of art, physical movement and the creative act. Participants will start by taking a walk through the museum’s collections. Next, some simple dance exercises will gently awaken our bodies to the benefits and pleasure of moving. The workshop will end with a short artistic creation that will draw awareness to the body and gestures involved in creative acts.
Passes are distributed from 10 a.m. on the day of the activity, at the Museum ticket counter. All materials required for the activity are provided.
Once a month, in a convivial atmosphere, participants will occupy the Museum, taking part in a gentle yoga practice, discussing a work in the collection and enjoying this uniquely creative exploration. A stimulating experience that will open your horizons, body and soul!
Passes are distributed from 10 a.m. on the day of the activity, at the Museum ticket counter. All materials required for the activity are provided but the participants can also bring their own yoga mat.
