                • Devoted and enthusiastic art and museum lovers, members of the President’s Circle continue the tradition of the first Montreal Museum of Fine Arts founders, who in 1860, believed in the importance of establishing a museum of international calibre in our city. Members of the President’s Circle—friends, benefactors, collectors, and protectors of the Museum—gather during organized activities in the Museum’s various pavilions to enjoy exhibitions and private evenings accompanied by a guest of their choice.

          • The 58th edition of the Museum Ball, NUIT COUTURE, organized by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, was inspired head-to-toe by the colourful world of fashion and was a spectacular celebration of the creative strength and genius of several Quebec designers. The evening raised over $1.5 million for the Museum.

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is enjoying unprecedented growth and must deal with a significant increase in activities and events, notably in education.

Since the MMFA is not a government-run institution, it must generate a large percentage of its operating budget, or 56%. Year to year, this represents more than $20 million. Its self-generated revenues come from a number of sources, including donations from its many partners and benefactors.

To help the Museum and its Foundation increase and sustain its crucial sources of revenue, it was decided to review the policy for corporate event rentals. Only the MMFA’s partners and donors will henceforth be able to reserve space for their events at the Museum.

Options:

  • Minimum donation of $10,000:* one free room reservation per year (one large or one small)
  • Annual donation of $20,000:* two free room reservations per year (large or small)
  • *Includes admission to exhibitions; does not include security, technical, equipment and other direct expenses
