50,000 visitors to “Marvels and Mirages of Orientalism”

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to announce that the exhibition Marvels and Mirages of Orientalism: From Spain to Morocco, Benjamin-Constant in His Time has been seen by 50,000 people!

Produced by the MMFA and the Musée des Augustins, Toulouse, with the support of the Franco-American institution FRAME (French Regional American Museum Exchange), this exhibition is the first major exhibition on Orientalism to be presented in Canada. It is on view until May 31.

Several special events* have been organized in connection with the exhibition :

Sunday, April 12

From 10 a.m. to noon, the Museum will offer visitors a complimentary cup of Moroccan tea and pastries.

Sunday, May 10

On Mother’s Day, the Museum will present a mother with a complimentary exhibition catalogue every hour on the hour.
