A musical creation inspired by an artwork in the Museum’s collection

In 2013, the Arte Musica Foundation launched a new program that commissions one musical piece inspired by a visual artwork in the Museum’s collection to be composed and performed at Bourgie Hall every year.

Our commissioned artist for the 2015-2016 season, Luna Pearl Woolf, was inspired by the raw, yet gracious shapes of Au Carnaval, a monumental sculpture by the great American artist Jim Dine. Her musical composition, One to One to One, will premiere at the concert Triptych, on Thursday, May 12, 2016. The evening’s programme will also include two other compositions by Woolf to create a glorious mélange a trois!
