Back by popular demand! The MMFA is pleased to present another NIGHT IN MOROCCO on Wednesday, March 25, at 5 p.m.
Let the exhibition Marvels and Mirages of Orientalism: From Spain to Morocco, Benjamin-Constant in His Time whisk you away to Morocco, get a henna tattoo and enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea!
From 5 to 9 p.m., enjoy half-price admission to the exhibition (applies to the regular $20 admission fee).
Starting at 6 p.m., you can get a small henna tattoo. Free with the purchase of a ticket to the exhibition. First come, first served.
All evening long, you can enjoy a cup of Moroccan tea. Free with the purchase of a ticket to the exhibition. While supplies last.
The Museum has been steeped in Orientalism since the opening of the exhibition on January 31, its galleries filled with nonchalant odalisques, fierce-looking Moors and exotic harem scenes. Discover the works of Benjamin-Constant and other great Orientalists like Delacroix, Gérôme, Regnault and Laurens, along with works by some contemporary Moroccan artists who take a critical look at the place of women in the art of nineteenth-century Orientalist painters.
An exhibition to see and experience without delay!
