By now, you are surely aware of the fact that the Board of Trustees of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has terminated its association with Nathalie Bondil as Director General and Chief Curator of the MMFA. This was not an easy decision. We had all hoped that the relationship of over 21 years between Ms. Bondil and the Museum could have concluded differently, considering the significant contribution she has made to the MMFA's development. However, in light of the circumstances, the Museum's Board of Trustees has taken the decisions and actions it deems to be in everyone's best interests, in accordance with the principles of good governance.
We deeply value our ties with you and want to reassure you that all of the MMFA's teams are hard at work paving the way for the Museum's future, pursuing ongoing and upcoming projects with the same passion and dedication as always.
This year, the MMFA is celebrating its 160th anniversary. Throughout its history, the support of outstanding individuals has enabled the Museum to grow and evolve into the world-renowned institution it is today. We need your loyal friendship now, more than ever. It can never be said enough: you are an integral part of this institution that has become what it is today and continues to develop and expand its reach, thanks to your loyalty.
Let us turn our focus toward the future at this time. The many projects we have before us will take shape and come to fruition through the work of our entire team; it is together that we will succeed. Your contribution as a Member is essential, and the Museum humbly asks for your continued loyalty. You are the Museum.
Thank you for your unwavering trust and support.
