Pompeii exhibition

From 5 p.m. to midnight – $10 

Enjoy half price admission ($10) to discover POMPEII, on view for the first time in Montreal. Soak up the splendour and opulence of Pompeii in a spectacular exhibition featuring over 220 archaeological artifacts in a spectacular exhibition design. Mosaics, frescoes, bronze and marble statues, decorative art objects, as well as utensils and personal accessories, will bring to life this small provincial colony of the Roman Empire that was frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. This exhibition offers an extraordinary glimpse into the daily life and customs of the inhabitants of this once thriving town.

Create an “Antique” Roman Coin

From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Draw inspiration from coins found in the archaeological site of Pompeii to create your own “antique” coin and take it home with you!

Live Model Design Workshop

From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Develop your artistic talents by taking part in a drawing workshop where live models will re-create a scene inspired by frescoes in the exhibition.

Collective Mosaic Workshop 

From 8 p.m. to midnight

Take part in a collective mosaic inspired by the exhibition POMPEII, an activity presented by Ciot. Then, enjoy a demonstration of stone cutting by an expert mosaicist from Ciot.

Italian Cooking Demonstration

From 9 p.m. to midnight 

Attend an Italian cooking demonstration by a chef from Wienstein & Gavino’s, and then sample the results! Tempt your taste buds with some delicious arancinis! We’ll post the recipe on our Facebook event page.

Hot Chocolate Tasting  

From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Warm up with a sweet treat: hot chocolate courtesy of Juliette & Chocolat. First come, first served! (Quantities are limited.)

Italian Wine Tasting  

From 9 p.m. to midnight 

Escape to the warm terraces of Tuscany with a glass of Oso, a wine provided courtesy of Castello d’Albola.
