Conference by Gabriel Paquin-Buki - Folklores from the East

Music From Here and Abroad

The clarinetist Gabriel Paquin-Buki traces the evolution of how folk music was perceived by great classical composers. Neglected for a long time in classical music, folk music gained greater standing in the mid-19th century, notably in the works of Liszt, Brahms, and later, Bartók and Kodály.

Presented in French
