Synopsis

In a social housing project on the outskirts of Paris, Abdel, a young North African man, ends up in a coma following a police beating. A riot ensues during which an officer loses his gun. It is found by Vinz, a young Jewish man who vows to shoot a policeman if Abdel dies. Over the next twenty-four hours, Vinz and two of his friends, the black Hubert and the Arab Saïd, wander the streets aimlessly, always ready for a fight.


Guest artist: The author Alain Farah (Mille secrets mille dangers) 

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the guest artist to contextualize the choice of film in relation to their journey of identity and artistic development.

 

About enraCINÉ
Cinéma du Musée presents enraCINÉ, a new film series that explores the intersections of migration, identity, artistic practice, and cinema.

From April to July, ten artists from immigrant and Indigenous backgrounds will each select a film that has profoundly shaped their understanding of identity, belonging, and cultural continuity.
