Special screening to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of artist Edmund Alleyn.

Having inherited her father's studio after his death, filmmaker Jennifer Alleyn finds herself in a space still imbued with the artist's imagination. Like an anthropologist, she scrutinizes the place and the works, seeking to extend the dialogue beyond death in order to understand the fascinating journey of this free thinker who left his mark on the history of Canadian contemporary art.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with director Jennifer Alleyn and Anne-Marie St-Jean Aubre, the Gail and Stephen A. Jarislowsky Curator of Quebec and Canadian Contemporary Art (1945 to Today) at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
