A discovery tour of decorative arts and design

Our two types of tour provide opportunities for learning about the decorative arts and design collection at your own pace, while taking full advantage of the expertise of our volunteer guides.

Types of tour

Guided tour:
This type of tour enables you to see this exhibition through the expert eyes of our guides, based on their unique perspectives and special favourites. Enthusiastically sharing their knowledge about the works, our guides take an approach based on dialogue that encourages young people to share their impressions and exchange ideas.

Tour with in-gallery support:
While wandering freely through this exhibition, you’ll benefit from volunteer guides being on hand who will be able to answer your questions and help you gain an aesthetic appreciation of the works on view.

Planning a group visit to the Museum

Group entrance

The group entrance is located at 2075 Bishop Street. Plan on arriving 30 minutes before the time scheduled for your visit.

Organized transportation

If you are coming by school bus or chartered bus, allow extra time for potential traffic congestion.
