The MMFA attaches great importance to the exhibition and acquisition of contemporary art. The Museum’s galleries showcase works created since 2000 by local, Canadian and international artists, whose abstract and figurative paintings, multimedia installations, minimalist and monumental sculptures are a reflection of contemporary concerns.
