In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is greatly impacting the Montreal population, the Museum has decided to cancel its Day Camp for the 2020 summer season. This decision was taken with the goal of protecting the safety of our young visitors and MMFA employees.

We are aware of the significant challenges people are experiencing around work-family balance, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause for your summer plans.

You can reach us by phone at 514-285-2000 #5, from Monday to Thursday from 10am- 3pm, or at the email address

Children and tweens (ages 6–11)

The Museum’s day camp is just the place this summer for tickling the limitless imaginations of children who like to draw, paint and make things!

What happens at day camp?

  • Fostering their creativity and self-expression, your youngsters get a fun introduction to the works in the Museum’s collection. Inspired by what they’ve seen, they’ll create projects brimming with colour and imagination!
  • Playing games and taking part in workshops that will have them explore different artistic techniques and approaches through creating in two and three dimensions, kids can let their imaginations run wild in a relaxed atmosphere.
  • At lunchtime, everyone goes out for fun in the park or, if it’s raining, plays games inside!
  • The week wraps up with youngsters proudly presenting their creations in an exhibition they mount themselves.

In store: unforgettable memories and new friendships!

Teens (ages 12–14)

They’re always drawing, love art, and enjoy trying new things: creative teens are sure to find others sharing their interests at the Museum day camp!

What happens at day camp?

  • A totally separate camp with a relaxing and stimulating atmosphere awaits teens at the Museum, where they’ll have their own space to create their special projects!
  • With the opportunity to study works in the Museum’s collection up close, teens will gain a deeper appreciation for art. And, with a program that includes sculpture, photography and many other activities, through projects exploring a range of techniques and creative approaches they’ll enjoy much scope for personal expression.
  • The week ends with them presenting their creations in an exhibition they’ll put together with pride.

A unique experience sure to lead to new friends!
