Learn how to render light and shadow with pencil, transforming shapes into forms, such as a circle into a sphere. Understanding how light behaves is crucial to giving your drawing that three-dimensional, realist feel and depth. In this one-day drawing workshop, you’ll explore the principles of value, light and shadow step by step using a variety of pencil work techniques, culminating in the creation of a highly realistic drawing of our subject.

Instructor: Gianni Giuliano, artist and art educator
Level: Beginner
