About the speaker
Laura Evans, PhD is a Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of North Texas, where she teaches about art museums, art crime and art interpretation. Her most recent book is The Atlas of Art Crimes: Thefts, Vandalism, and Forgeries (Prestel). She also lectures about art crime globally. Dr. Evans has worked in art museums around the world, from the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts in Western Australia to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and has collaborated with museums such as the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
