After leaving Haiti, a boy and his mother settle in a rural village in Quebec, where the child relies on his imaginary friend to understand the new world around him. Director of the mini-series Afro Canada (2022), which told the story of Canada from the perspective of Afro-descendants, Henri Pardo presents a highly original, partly autobiographical fiction. Himself from a Haitian family that fled the dictatorship, he has always wanted to tell the story of his community. Special mention to Martin Dubreuil (known for One Summer), who touches hearts as a surrogate father.
