Why not prolong your visit to the MMFA by heading over to Du Musée Avenue for a taste of the vibrant atmosphere? Every Wednesday during the summer, the entire Museum is open until 9 p.m., and in the evening the street comes alive with entertainment, including concerts, movies under the stars, and much more.

Absolutely! The MMFA is a perfect destination for families. Take advantage of our creative workshops suitable for all ages and extend your visit outdoors as you enjoy fun activities and festive evenings on Du Musée Avenue.

Bring your headphones and smartphone!

Using 3D modeling, explore a selection of objects from every angle, as though you were holding them in your hands. Discover works from the Museum’s decorative arts and design collection in a new immersive way.

You can also discover 10 objects through stories told by the artists and designers who created them, including François Dallegret, Pascale Girardin, Ying Gao, and Zoë Mowat.

While you’re here, take part in the Ready, Set, Go! Sports Inspire Art challenge. Marking the 50^th anniversary of the Montreal Olympic Games, this interactive circuit highlights a selection of works from the collection that are related to the world of sports.

It’s not mandatory, but we strongly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. By booking online, you guarantee your admission to the Museum and avoid the line-up at the ticket counter!

If there are more than 10 people in your group, please contact us at 514-285-2000 to reserve your time slot. This will facilitate your arrival and enable us to offer you the best experience possible.

Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, the MMFA is easy to get to:

Metro: A short walk from the Guy-Concordia or Peel stations.
REM Light Rail: Get off at McGill station; the Museum is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk away.
By car: Several paid parking lots are located within walking distance of the Museum, including the LB parking garage at Concordia University’s J.W. McConnell Pavilion, located at 1453 Mackay Street.
By foot: The Museum is on Sherbrooke Street, surrounded by the city’s best dining and shopping.
By BIXI: For an eco-friendly and practical way to get around, rent a BIXI bike from one of the many stations near the Museum.

We recommend allowing between three and four hours. The MMFA is huge! This will allow you to explore our five pavilions at your leisure, to discover our galleries and to enjoy a refreshing break at Aube Café or on Du Musée Avenue.

Yes. Our cloakroom accepts suitcases and other bulky objects subject to a fee of $7 per item.

This service is reserved for visitors to the Museum and is subject to availability. We may be unable to accept larger items on days when there is a high volume of visitors. We therefore recommend that you pack light.

Note: The Museum reserves the right to refuse to accept certain items.
