Support the power of art! The MMFA Foundation launches its 2025-2026 annual fundraising campaign

Support the Power of Art!

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) Foundation is launching its 2025-2026 annual fundraising campaign today, under the theme “Support the power of art!”

Far from being abstract, the power of art is well documented: in 2019, the World Health Organization published a report highlighting its positive effects on health, well-being, learning and social cohesion. As a leader in education and community engagement, the MMFA annually offers nearly 700,000 visitors experiences that are enriching, uplifting, and at times even restorative.

As part of several ongoing projects, the Museum is notably helping: People living with Alzheimer’s disease gain confidence and express themselves; Seniors improve their well-being, quality of life and physical health; Teachers address various subjects with their students through art, notably as part of the Une œuvre à l’école pilot project; Children from all backgrounds develop their creativity, imagination and ability to adapt to new situations; People with eating disorders break isolation; Young adults with language or sensory disorders develop their social skills, self-esteem, confidence and autonomy; Neurodiverse people appreciate art through the senses thanks to the Sensational Supplies Pack; Art lovers who come to the Museum to reflect, feel, recharge and discover.

In addition to helping finance these initiatives, the annual fundraising campaign provides essential support for all of the MMFA’s activities.
