The 66^th edition of the Museum Ball

Join us on November 7 for the 66^th edition of the Museum Ball, a must-attend highlight of Quebec's philanthropic calendar, presented to you by IG Private Wealth Management.

The 2026 edition of the Ball will be co-chaired by Rana Ghorayeb, Executive Vice-President and Head of Real Estate at La Caisse, Yves Lalumière, President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal, and Annamaria Testani, Head of Strategy, Advisor and Client Experience at IG Private Wealth Management.

Theme

The theme of the 2026 Museum Ball is meant as an ode to the power of human connection, the sense of belonging, unity and love. The slogan “Returning to Love” reminds us of the strength of the ties that bind us together. We owe this slogan to our friends at MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels), whom we thank for partnering with us to present this 66^th edition of the Ball.

The evening will be an opportunity to reflect on art in all its glory, but also on the power of art. This much-anticipated event will also pay tribute to the superb work of renowned Japanese artist Chiharu Shiota.

Guest chef

Youssef Jbari, Executive Chef at Vancouver's Lobby Lounge & RawBar at Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, BC, is guest chef of the 66th Ball and is set to craft a special gastronomic menu for the event. Formerly the Executive Chef at Nobu Marrakech, Youssef is known for his mastery of Japanese cuisine. He believes in respecting tradition while embracing innovation, viewing food as a cultural bridge and a means of connection.

For me, food has always been a language — a way of connecting, communicating and creating a shared experience without words. For the Museum Ball, I wanted to explore the idea of ‘Returning to Love’ through the lens of Canada in winter, bringing together the beauty of seasonal ingredients, the artistry of Japanese cuisine and the spirit of Nikkei cooking. Each dish is an expression of connection — to place, to culture, to nature and, ultimately, to one another.

Guest scenographic artist

Canadian artist Karilee Fuglem is this year’s guest scenographic artist and will be in charge of designing and decorating one of the galleries. Fuglem is known for her works that create a collaboration between ambient light and movement. Her materials are sometimes barely visible or made to reflect light onto a surface, such that the reflection itself is the art.

Auction

New this year, there will be an online Auction in connection with the Ball with some fantastic lots in the offing, which will culminate on the evening of November 7th.
