The shape and decoration of this barrel-jug are typical of the production from what archaeologists identify as the Cypro-Geometric Period I. Its shape is evidence of influence from the Levant, from where globular- and flask-shaped jugs were imported. Here, the geometric pattern further emphasizes its particular shape.
