Douglas Ball designed this self‑contained office capsule to alleviate eye strain and neck pain during computer work. Drawing inspiration from his Audi’s reclining seat and dashboard, he created this design as his personal workstation. A limited edition of 100 units was produced by New Space in Fort Worth, Texas. Based in Montreal, Ball’s distinguished career in office furniture design spanned over fifty years, with a focus on office systems furniture and task chairs for companies such as Sunar, Arconas, Herman Miller and Steelcase.
