Despite the many people who attended the art school of the Art Association of Montreal (AAM, today’s Montreal Museum of Fine Arts) during the long period of its existence, few drawings of its premises survive. Ernest Aubin, who studied for a year and a half in 1911-1912 under William Brymner, has given us this humble but rare sketch of an area reserved for life drawing sessions, its “Art Gallery.”
